Over centuries Johannsen Towage used to operate in harbor and terminal assistance. We were the first company introducing the ASD propulsion in Germany benefitting from own experience and customized German built tugboats. Rapidly rising demand on power and safety for tugs enabled us to proof our high class standards to our customers. Together with our partners we operate modern and well maintained tugboats in several German Baltic ports and Northern European harbours.
Johannsen Towage is well known for successful and reliable transports. Towing barges or floating objects belongs to our core objectives, acting as long term contractors for our clients or on short notice for spot market jobs. If you need support for your project cargoes just give us a call.
OFFSHORE SUPPORT

Our team will support you with concepts and maritime consultancy services around your demand.
CASUALTIES
Salvage and other maritime emergency cases are known to any towage operator. In cooperation with our contractors we can offer a wide range of activities around emergency cases “nearshore – offshore – ashore”. Fast, reliable and focused on the individual solution – we will be the first to assist whenever you call us.
Cargo Run – Runner Crew – Stores – Crew Changes – Local Diving Support – Towmasters - Bargemasters
Alongside the Port Roads and local areas in our fields of operation we frequently offer additional services with our experienced staff and boats. Do you require any emergency transports or provision of Stores to your vessels? Our tugs provide free deck space for light goods. We often send crews to offshore anchored vessels and support nearshore diving operations. For Barges we can assist with runner crews, technical ballast engineers and even experienced tugmasters to guide local manoeuvres on board the towed object.
With the service potential of our tugboats, we can cover almost 100% of all requirements of port assistance in the Baltic Sea ports. Our fleet consists of 4 typical Multi-Purpose tugboats, which are outstandingly appropriate for use in the ports as well as for conveyance and salvage operations.
