Experienced crews and our onshore setup is at your disposal for 24 hours each day. In addition our chartering department will offer you tailor made solultions for any other vessel specification and demand in the field of offshore wind and construction.

Over centuries Johannsen Towage used to operate in harbour and terminal assistance. We were the first company introducing the ASD propulsion in Germany benefitting from own experience and customized German built tugboats. Rapidly rising demand on power and safety for tugs enabled us to prove our high class standards to our customers. Together with our partners we operate modern and well-maintained tugboats in several German Baltic ports and Northern European harbours.

According to your requests, J. Johannsen & Sohn deals with project cargo handling, breakbulk, heavy lift cargoes, RoRo and car loading/unloading operations, liquid and dry bulk and any further inquiries. Together with our experienced and highly motivated professionals in our port service we built up teams to arrange lashing and securing of cargoes onboard many vessels entering and sailing from Luebeck. Leading liner operators are using our permanent service . We guarantee safety and security at all times, paired with the utmost flexible disposition of all employees, 365 days a year. Standing for quality and reliability we offer safe loading concepts following the requirements of vessels‘ masters. We know good seamanship!

Our mooring teams are operating in the ports of Lübeck, Wismar and Wilhelmshaven (Jade-Dienst). Being in 24/7/365 operations with safe and reliable mooring cars, mooring boats and durable equipment, we are available at any time for any vessels‘ size and port calls around all our areas.

Our storage capacities in the port of Wilhelmshaven are ready for your cargo. Our local expedition and stevedoring team will support you with interim storage, commissioning, customs clearance, delivery of ship supplies and all kinds of lubricating oils and disposal of sludge. We will surely arrange your continuative inland haulage.

Our new storage area in Wilhelmshaven with 56.000m² capacity is able to host blades, turbines and other technical devices for repair and refurbishment. Our local teams will arrange logistics or the maintenance of entire offshore wind farms within a dedicated campaign in close contact with OEMs and other service providers. We are focussing on taylor-made projects in ship repair including steel construction, engine repair service s, drydocking, electrical, hydraulic, carpentry etc. in cooperation with authorised local partners to form a complete range of repair services.

Our team of construction mechanics with DVS valid welding certificates, and engineers, is available to our customers in steel construction 24/7 all year round.

We flexibly find constructive solutions from the water side with our own workboats. We respond to individual customer requests and offer personally tailored solutions on special construction sites with our modern equipment.

A dedicated team of mechanical engineers handle your ship’s engines anywhere in the world. A technical setup at our premises in Wilhelmshaven is ready for almost all maintenance and overhaul activities for all larger 4-stroke and smaller 2-stroke units.
